Ya, @Miggs you missed on Jonas. I missed a bit too.

I will not miss on Bruno tho. Only a year away from being 3 years away... :blessed:

Jonas was young, big men typically dont hit their stride until 24-25.

Yall dudes in the 6 corrupted Bruno though, seen him rockin a grill and knew it was a wrap :francis:

Ya, I kinda was up and down on Jonas, but some what kept my mouth shout when it came to Val, mostly b/c your opinion on him.

As to Bruno. Let the kid live. Dude is from the Brazil slums, a gold gril, could be worse. Do you worry about the guy coming from where he came from embracing are culture? sure. shyt, if Bruno does not pan out I hope he at least got his family straight. But dude is only 20 years old, coming from Brazil. Let's look on the bright side when it come to the kid...

.. Honestly I am not going to lie, I am a bit worried for Bruno. I know dude likes to have a good time. :sadcam:
It aint looking too good for him regardless of his age, he's played 66 total minutes in 2 seasons, that is a really bad sign. You can't throw him out there even in blowouts it seems, I hope he can turn it around but when Thot & Patterson are your mentors what can you do? I want to see more Brazilian players come over, and the frame he has is ridiculous (7'7" wingspan :wtf: ) so I want to see him do well, but I don't know :francis:

Look at the homie Giannis, same situation, came from extreme poverty at 18, the difference is Giannis aint riding through the 6 with his woes :troll: he's in the gym, he's in the weight room, he's always working on his game someway. That hunger, every report about Giannis is his drive to be great and his work ethic, where is that for Bruno? :jbhmm:

Giannis language was basketball :wow:

Bruno has elite physical tools, so I can understand why he was drafted, but they gotta start giving him some minutes next year even if he's not ready. Let him play through failures, it's the only way he'll improve is with game minutes.

The 6
It's hard to say how good Bruno can become. He's so young and his situation is unique. This was his first year really playing pro ball in a major role. There's a piece put up by SBNation on him recently:

Hopes From The 6: Breaking Down Bruno Caboclo's Season With The Raptors 905

Highlights from the piece:
  • In a span of 12 months, Caboclo went from getting DNP's with the Mad Ants to averaging 16.7 points and 7.6 boards post All-Star break.

  • Bruno Caboclo was able to effectively utilize that frame and athleticism on the defensive end, as he averaged 1.8 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. Those 1.8 blocks per game put Caboclo 8th among D-Leaguers.

  • The improvements that Caboclo made over the course of the season with the 905 has made it not so far-fetched to think that he can become a contributor to the Raptors next season. In an interview with SportsNet's Blake Murphy, Coach Jesse Mermuys said the following about that possibility: "So much can happen in an NBA summer, but absolutely," Mermuys says. "He's moved himself so much further along. It's not like where it was, where there's no way you could put him in a game. It's not out of the question that he could go into a game and possibly impact a game his length and his shooting."
On the other hand, he got an opportunity at the end of the regular season and was an absolute disaster. So who knows if he ever reaches a stage where he can be a real rotation player in the NBA.
