Didn't watch the videos yet but have to say I had a visceral reaction to you saying the lady reuses the water repeatedly...makes my teeth itch!

Regarding dumpster diving, I'll say I know someone who works at a grocery store and was told these places throw away perfectly good food and then padlock the dumpsters so the food can't be taken by people scavenging...this is life in the US.

Lastly, I'm not personally trying to do it, but I won't knock the roadkill bit. My understanding is that some folks who really are poor have to do that. Honestly, if the SHTF in lifetime and a person didn't know how to hunt or does he for food, eating roadkill might be a viable option. These folks are just honing their survival skills lol. It puts me in the mind of Daniel Suelo, the man who gave up money. I think he has mentioned that being part of his way of living.

My bad @Pseudonym :mjlol:

You were talking about folks being cheap as hell in purpose though.

Yeah, I’m not knocking someone who does this because they’re on hard times and gotta make stuff work , these people HAVE money but still haggle just to get a discount.... it blows my mind!

The reusing the pasta water over and over again was too much IMO, there was even a family that reuse the water they wash their hands with!!!

:heh: My hubby thought I was bad taking a shytload of napkins, and handwipe pkgs at every restaurant. Them napkins came in handy when we couldn’t find any toilet paper a few months ago:sas2: . I also keep the extra condiment packages. I kid you not, yesterday he wanted Mayonnaise and I only buy Miracle Whip....he got those packs out the drawer and shut the hell up lmao

This series is hilarious :dead:

Right?!?

We weren’t the richest family and we always tried to save money, but my mama never reused pasta water or put salad dressing back in the bottle or reuse mouthwash or floss teeth with our hair.....

Lady had her husband turn off the tv during football commercials

:deadmanny:

On a serious note, I know saving money is important but you also have to enjoy your time on Earth....all that money they saved, they can’t take it with them . Even if they pass it on to their kids, they’ve already deprived the kids of a healthy childhood
