Oil keeps the burgers from sticking to the pan, but only enough to coat the bottom of pan.Why are you using oil? Also the pan is too hot.

Most regular ground beef has enough fat that you don't need to have oil. Then if he has a non-stick pan he definitely don't need it. I can under stand a small coat for leaner meats but even then I would only grease it.
You could get ground beef with very little fat or he probably used ground turkey...Maybe he really don't know what he was doing... I don't know, we need more details lolI use a nonstick pan and cooking spray
