It sounds like a major star is looking to make her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Taraji P. Henson, the awards-nominated star of Empire and Hidden Figures, is looking for a superhero origin story of her own.

“I would love to be a Marvel superhero,” Henson told The New York Times. “I’m dying to get into some comedy. I think I’m a stronger comedic actress than a dramatic actress. You guys just fell for the drama side.”

It’s interesting that Henson specifies a Marvel superhero, though that makes sense if her goal is to show her comedic abilities. Comparing Marvel Studios to DC Films, any fan would have a hard time arguing that Marvel isn’t the universe that draws more laughs from audiences.
