He was inspired by Stand By Me
I thought this with the kids going to go see a dead body in the beginning.

Random thing I noticed in the movie recently was when Doughboy and Chris left Tre's house as kids they were both on skateboards but Chris was riding the skateboard on his knees, only for him to be in a wheelchair when they become teenagers/young adults.

The dude who played the brother is a hell of an actor, damn near the best part of the movie.

Both men who were killed in each film were considered "the good sons" and had talent, and the surviving sons were bad influences.

Older brother's were ex-cons and always had their crew hanging around.

They both had a fight with their older brother shortly before their deaths.
