Box-Office Milestone: 'The Conjuring' Horror Universe Passes $1B
With its latest film, Annabelle: Creation, earning more than $110 million worldwide, New Line Cinema’s Conjuring cinematic universe has surpassed the $1 billion mark at the global box office.
The horror universe, headed by James Wan and producer Peter Safran, includes the filmsThe Conjuring 2 ($320.4M), The Conjuring($319.5M) and Annabelle ($257M).

Annabelle: Creation opened in theaters on Aug. 17. New Line will next release The Nun, based on the character appearing in The Conjuring 2, directed by Corin Hardy and due in theaters July 13, 2018. The studio also is developing with Atomic Monster and The Safran Company The Conjuring 3 and The Crooked Man, the latter also based on a character that appeared in The Conjuring 2.
