I’m not sure about that, reading the article Dave Stewart’s group is interested in an expansion team in Nashville. I don’t think MLB would stand in the way of White Sox moving to Nashville. Don’t think it will happen, but

A's and White Sox leaving in succession would be a travesty. MLB is doing good enough to just expand
I think it would be a true expansion. There’s no point in mlb pulling a legacy AL club out of Chicago when they could just find an owner with deep pockets that cares about the situation.
