hasn't blown me away yet.

I personally think the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore is alot funnier, but what do y'all think?

trevor still seems like he's trying to be someone else and his delivery is very dry. not funny dry, just like the serious guy who tries to be funny one day. larry is more real. I think trevor needs to find his niche.

I think Trevor is doing a pretty damn good job. The show's ratings are down, but that was to be expected. Dude has to have some time to pull that old Jon Stewart audience back in. A lot of people when Stewart left, decided they were retiring from the Daily Show as well. I know I didn't think the show would be any good at all. But I gave the young brotha a chance and it's actually quite good. I think that audience will eventually come back after the shock of not having Stewart wears off. Trevor's numbers over the web and social media are up significantly and are doing as well as or better than when Stewart was there. And typically you want the younger audience because that's where the potential growth is.

So far I like him. Trevor is the opposite of Stewart in that Jon was more animated and yelled a lot and was more silly where as Trevor is more reserved, calm, and goes for the subtle humor. Give him time, luckily next year is a presidential election year so he'll have tons of material to find his groove this time next year.

He's doing good, but the show is exactly the same as Stewart's version. Wilmore's show is better, because he shook up the format with the panel and Keepin' it 100, etc.

But the Daily Show is more of a staple than The Nightly show is. Look at Fallon, O'brien, and Kimmel. Each of those shows pretty much follow the Leno/Letterman format, which followed the Carson format. Of course Fallon's show is a bit more wacky, but it only slightly deviates from the norm. The Daily Show has positioned itself to be the standard for it's own genre of late night show. Trevor will follow this format and maybe slightly deviate in the future, but it will generally be the same. The person that takes over after him will most likely do the same. I can't agree that Larry's show is better. Larry is just more familiar to audiences at the moment.
