Con Ed strike question

I'm sure someone here works for or has worked for Con Edison in the past in NYC. How is it that there can be contract disputes and threatened strikes every single year?

Because theyre MTA buddies keep stunting on them and making more moeny and they get salt and jelly and demand more money and then the bosses just tell them to sit their ass down.
