Ok here’s the run down

I have a 48 inch oled I do work off of - because of my job I need to be able to look at multiple windows at a time

The big screen allows me to create 4 1080p sized windows

Anyway, this shyt is too big and is giving me what the white man seems to call eye strain , I think the perfect size would be 42 for me

I was watching some people with the same size monitor and I came across this

This guy somehow shrunk the whole image - so it’s now like a 32 inch screen essentially

Does anybody know how to do this ? Or what this technique it’s called ?

I played around with this last night and forced an ultra wide resolution and I have the black bars on top and bottom

How do I get black bars all around and get the image to shrink ?

You on a MAC? No idea if so.. but on Windows I feel like thats something you should right click while on the desktop to change the aspect ratio / resolution settings.

I don't know about other gfx cards or OS, but with Windows and a Nvidia card, you'd open up the Nvidia control panel, click on Adjust desktop size and position, then manually configure the length and height of your viewing screen size.

This doesn’t work - I have the tv set to “just scan” - im assuming that’s no scaling - the lower resolutions just stretch the image
gotta make sure the PC isn't scaling too. everything defaults to stretching the image, because they assume that's what most people want
