Posted this in the other thread, for me ideally it'd be
movie 1 - Brainiac. He invades, takes over and we in for all types of fukkery with robots and computers, it'd be on some irobot/matrix shyt.
movie 2 - Doomsday
movie 3 - Darkseid
Lex Luther be the villain in the background, pulling strings and instigating but never the MAIN villain because its been done to death, but could use him to push certain plots along (like his role in the Doomsday saga, or him thinking he could initially partner up with Brainiac just cuz he is obsessed with offing Superman, etc)

yeah, would love to see them play out the death of superman with doomsday. Esp if they could make an epic fight scene with them...and show Supes finally not holding back

Yup thats the idea, actually push Superman's powers to the limit (Doomsday, Darkseid) and still allow him to use his brains to show that he isn't some idiot boy scout (Brainiac, and to an extent Darkseid & Luthor)
You'll have the villains that could allow a Superman film to live up to its potential action wise, as well as have them be perfect antagonists on different points of the spectrum that challenge the idealistic views of Superman.

They have Zod as the first villain. I'm guessing he's gonna be to this movie what Ra's al Ghul was to Batman Begins.
For the second movie, I'd do some kind of an adaptation of Lex Luthor: Man of Steel. We haven't seen THAT kind of Lex in the movies/shows yet. But replace the two secondary villains from that story with some combination of Metallo/Parasite/Bizarro/Doomsday.
For the third movie, I'd go with Brainiac. I'd save Darkseid for a Justice League film

Everything is based on how successful this upcoming Superman movie will be. If it is a blockbuster success then wwe will get a Justice League movie; if it flops then this whole thread means nothing because there won't even be any Superman sequels.

Since Zod is the main villian for the first one, they could introduce or give a hint at the emergence of Doomsday for the second movie. At some point, I think they should introduce the four Supermen from the Reign of the Superman arc. The third movie could have Luthor as the villian, maybe throw in Grundy or Kryptonite Man.
If they do a JLA movie, have either Ultraman or Darkseid as the main villian.

Instead of making Superman Returns in 2006, they should've went with this format. Unfortunately, they are trying their hardest to bring prominence back to the character on the big screen. Killing Superman off for the first movie and not bringing him back until the last movie, would not be a good idea. If they would've wrapped all three of these up for this new movie, it would've been perfect.
