Seems a weird article to basically throw Netflix under the bus without ever arguing that part of his increased popularity (which allows him to make this kind of money from touring) came from the exposure his Netflix special got him.
I mean, they do mention what it did for Ali Wong and Aziz Ansari but then act like it did nothing for him while pretending it's a big deal his new special is on Amazon.
And of course, ditching Netflix had nothing do with him making 30 million through touring because it's not like he couldn't do this tour while having his specials released through Netflix, so why act like it's either one or the other? Whole thing got the feel of a hit piece, not a news article or entertainment story.
