Kang as champ helped make Rock and Foley stars, Rock himself said it was his greatest rivalry
Let's not act like he wasn't the biggest heel (not named Vince) of the attitude era
I'm not sure why you've got the idea that I don't like Triple H, but he was a good, not a great champion. He deserved to get there, but he was in the picture longer than anyone would've wanted due to lack of anyone else to play the part.
His matches with Foley weren't as good and didn't have the crowds as ridiculously heated as The Rock's matches with Foley.
His Attitude Era heeling wasn't as hot as The Rock's Attitude Era heeling.
I don't know how old you are, but if you watched all this era live you'd surely remember the difference. The Rock was fukking nuclear in that silk shirt, corporate phase. Trips had heat, but he never had THAT heat. Nobody did.
Trips is a solid (very solid) second tier transitional champ and did a hell of a job for the company... he's clearly always had a good feel for the business and was never someone that'd fukk it up for everybody... but you're acting like he was hotter than The Corporate Rock, the biggest crossover star the company has seen since Hulk Hogan, and he quite clearly wasn't.
As a promoter I'll give him all the props in the world right now. I'm glad he got to where he did.
