It was crazy...it seemed like he was bald Kama Mustafah, then about a month later he had braids and a herd of hangtime calling himself The Godfather.
In his early run as the Godfather, his pops were almost as loud as The Rock's.

I was one of those lame marks that didn't know he was Papa Shango back in the day, shyt was a certified 180 from voodoo motherfukker to black power to pimpin.
Dude actually caught a lot of heat for the gimmick. I remember being in middle school and they used make us read the fukkin lame ass newspaper every morning for 15 minutes. I usually would jump to the Sports pages but out of no-where in the entertainment section I saw the Godfather and Hoes. So I was reading the shyt and it was all about how characters like the Godfather are promoting misogynistic views, the degradation of women, and how he should be removed from the television program. I guess in hindsight that was what led to the right to censor faction later on down the line.

The Vega Kwang shyt was a pretty good flip. I didn't catch that one either. Dude went from looking like a generic ass luchador to the leader of the terror squad.
That character got over as fukk and nowadays they just can't do it anymore. I knew he was Shango from the tats even when he was Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine. I was just glad he saw the light and left that voodoo shyt alone.
