She won’t win, Beatty the incumbent been in office and will get the older black vote plus white vote.
Fair point, but Beatty ain't untouchable for future elections.
Joyce Beatty - Ballotpedia
The last time she was challenged in a Dem primary was back in 2012, where she won by 1k votes. The last primary she was in, was in 2018, where she ran unopposed and got 46k votes.
My Congressional District
Your district has 276k+ Black people, Beatty basically got 17% of the Black population for her 2018 Dem primary election(46k votes). It may be late for this year, but if you start talking to your church goers; neighbors, friends, family, etc, you guys can absolutely get a Congressperson worth a damn come 2022, just gotta start having conversations about what y'all need and start to mobilize(be registered as Dems to vote in the primary, have a voting bloc).
