I’ll see it because it was one of my favorite games that dropped not too long ago, but it would have been better as a show. This only works if it’s a trilogy, but it all depends if this one does well. I’m expecting the worse after what they did to Borderlands. :francis:

:martin: They could have done something great for a TV series. A two season sci-fi drama following Faro and Sobeck with the finale of sealing the bunkers would have people that didn't play the games talking for ages. Then do the next two or three seasons following Aloy.

This will be trash as a movie. It needs to be a series to really tell the story.

Brehs, the amount of money they would have to spend to get this even close to resembling something in-game would be crazy expensive. This was never gonna work as a show, especially something on netflix. Have yall seen their sci fi shows?

A series spanning 2048-2066 timeline is do-able though. I mentioned a while back in the arcadium that it's the best route if budget is an issue.

should have got Christopher Nolan to do it. Some many unnecessary flashbacks and cut aways to the epic reveal of Ted Farro’s checkmate move :blessed: …..

I hope someone at Sony treats this movie seriously.

Honestly, a movie probably does work better bc budget-wise you only need 2 or 3 set pieces (beginning, middle, end) and, if we're being honest, for all the multitude of characters in the game, ain't none of them shyt nor worth 8 eps of branching storytelling for outside of Sylens; mc included :mjlol:

You could really keep it a fairly compact 2 hour movie taking people through the first game's story, with act 1 starting with aloy as a kid, on thru the tribal competition where shyt hit the fan

They’re making Fallout and doing season 2. :skip:

Fallout is not nearly as dependent on cgi as horizon.

Horizon is practically transformers, fallout can go entire episodes without showing anything mutated or high tech. Most of it is practical effects and make up

in fact there were barely any actual mutants or monsters in the first season.
