Which job would you rather have?

A michigan, osu, bama, Texas, USC. Etc or
Patriots, steelers, 49ers, Seahawks, panthers(right now).

I think the pros for the college would outweigh the nfl. but then again both are probably intense and stressful. :yeshrug:

Which would you guys rather be?

Pros. Coaching in the NFL is a once in a lifetime opportunity... only the elite of the elite get that chance.

Even if you're an awful NFL head coach, you're still a god amongst most college coaches.

Also in the pros you don't have to worry about flying all over the country all day to recruit indecisive azz prima donna teenagers, "building a culture", connecting with your alum fanbase and all that extra shyt... in the pros It's more pressure but your main tasks are just football related.

Ehh...I don't think jim tomsula would be a god amongst college coaches just because he was given an nfl HC job nor was he the elite of the elite...I'm sure there have been plenty of other HC hires that couldn't HC a college team (singletary...god damn Niners)

College football is a lot of fukking work...recruiting has to be a bytch, in the NFL it's offer a shyt load of money and see what happens. In college you have to seem yourself, the environment, the teammates. You have to sit there and make an entire family happy...AND THATS JUST ONE THING.

The point i'm making is that any Power 5 conference CFB school would kill to have a former NFL coach. Having experience coaching in the pros goes a very, very long way on CFB ranks. You look at Nick Saban, Lou Holtz, Steve Spurrier, Mike Riley, Greg Schiano, Bobby Petrino, ect. who were terrible NFL coaches, but crush it when they're coaching in college. As bad as Tomsula and Singletary are in the NFL, they would outcoach 95% of college football coaches with ease. They don't just give out NFL head coaching jobs to any old loser.. theres a reason why only 32 people get that opportunity per year. Even if youre the worst in the NFL you're still among the best in the world at coaching football period. Thats what i meant by elite of the elite

The best job in football is a loaded NFL team

But fukk a mediocre or shytty team, id rather take a top notch college team job (notre dame, Ohio st, usc, bama, lsu etc)

i'd rather be in charge of 50 professionals than 100 college kids.

college coaching seems like it'd come with a bunch of hassle.. recruiting.. boosters.. kids staying academically eligible.. that's not shyt i want to be dealing with.

and the nfl money is better.

Getting teenagers to destroy their body for the chance to make millions >>>Trying to get millionaires to destroy their bodies

If a professional locker room turns on you it's a wrap. If the GM turns on you it's a wrap. If you have a micromanaging owner it's a wrap. The worst team in the NFL is better than the best team in college. You can be half decent in college and go to a bowl. Half decent in your first year in the league might have you heading to the bushes. College all day.

I was thinkin that but once you have experience in the NIL, you can always go back and get a HC job in college or at least a OC or DC job

College by far. Better money, better job security. It's a lot of work but the head coach doesn't do EVERYTHING. A lot of assistants do the little stuff. A college football team staff is big. Position coaches hammer a lot of the recruiting, they have academic people who worry about eligibility, graduate assistants that help with a lot of little things. The workload is spread out. HC delegates.
Every HC has a god complex and where else do you get treated like a god more than cfb. If they nevwr win another ship but win 9 games a year every 3 years Urban good for 20 years at osu. Saban good for the rest of his life. Let him win a ship and beat OSU, Harbaugh good for 15 at Michigan. Can't beat that.

College. Money's similar, you don't have to be in charge of everything, you get more time off(NFL HC's work 100 hours a week, 11 months of the year).

The only thing that sucks about being a college coach is recruiting(who wants to kiss a 17 year old kid's ass to make him come to your school?) and boosters. If you can deal with that, it's no contest

NFL seems like everyone except Belicheat is always on the hot seat ... In college with a little success you can post up somewhere cheap and be like a king

Also I could recruit players tailor made for my offensive scheme with no regard for salary cap
