Thunderbolt Them Suckers
Hello,
In the other thread (Here and Here) I casually pitched this idea for all programmers, software developers, game designers, graphics designers, musicians, etc. on the coli to pool their talents together to participate in various creative and technical projects. Projects can range from computer software, video games, art projects, music projects, 3D animation movies, etc. This is an unsanctioned (not approved by the admins) collaboration initiative that combines the skillset of the people here.
It's very easy to participate. To start you merely post a project of yours which you feel would benefit tremendously from the contribution of others. The files pertaining to your project must be hosted somewhere and preferably utilizes some sort of version control software to keep track of all the changes people make. For programmers the most common place would be a version control app like github(Build software better, together) or bitbucket(Bitbucket — The Git solution for professional teams). Then someone else downloads your files and make their contributions into the project.
Q: Breh...how do you know the coli has all of these talented people?
A: Threads have been made on here that touched on various subjects:
Programmers

You could use this thread to discuss existing and/or future projects, possible collaborations, give advice, tips, etc. I've posted this here in TLR for greater visibility. (I fear this venture would be unsuccessful if it were in Higher Learning or The Arcadium)
Here is the template you must use when you publish your project:
Project Name: (Name of the project you're working on)
Category: [Art][Music][Programming][Multimedia][etc.]
Skill Level: (A general overview of the knowledge required to participate) [Beginner][Intermediate][Advanced]
Language: (Applicable to programmers) [C++][C#][Python][Javascript][etc.]
Library: (Applicable to programmers) [SDL][SFML][DirectX][OpenGL][etc.]
Software Package: [Photoshop][Gimp][Blender][3DS Max][Unity][Unreal Engine][Visual Studio][etc.]
Description: (Short description about the project)
Source: (Project files, source code, etc.)(required)
Media: (This is a screenshot or short video showcasing your work so far)(optional)
