Why would you have Van Lier with Pippen and Rose on a small ball lineup? There's enough playmaking between Pippen and Rose - you don't need Norm. You need more scoring - especially with Rodman's non-scoring ass out there. Replace him with Butler and not only do you have more scoring but more defensively versatility as well. Rose or Van Lier cannot switch on big wings (which you'll need against the Warriors). Butler can guard 1-3 with ease.

Jimmy butler has not shown he can NOT meld with an aging or current past or present superstar.
Plus, was frustrated initially when butler could not.
Originally put d rose out to pasture when originally pr'd discomfort with rose, publically.
So, I would rather have a finals losing experienced jalen rose.
who would be honored to play with pip, mike, Horace and atrain.
Plus knows what it feels like to lose, in games of big meaning the worst way possible for an era.
That, jalen would hopefully use his ballhandling.
as a former big style pg to keep the bulls offense from stalling out.
When pip could possibly be schlup'n it on offense. From being in his own ego piss'n pout contest because of mike.
I, have a longer jalen rose, who is on go mode as far as getting his selfishly all the time.
Jalen, also ramped higher than butler as well.
Using
a bird player matrix with a mix of pip and Jordan in the backcourt is killer.
I, came from an era of watching big highly pedigree backcourts.
smaller backcourts, really get destroyed systematically and physiologically against bigger pedigreed backcourts, period.
Not to mention jalen is longer and bigger than butler, as well.
Jalen, has actual real time with a larger number of nemesis and stars.
A long with a healthy plethora of knowledge about the high IQ era before him.
While being the highest original pedigreed pg in high school from the low bball IQ era.

If we judged the timeline.
Of jalen rose, out the time machine for this, for the player, we are all speculating on.
