The old thread

:whew:

It's that time again, FANTASY BASEBALL IS BACK! :blessed:

This is the best fantasy league on the site, and we should have a couple of open spots this year. At least 2 I know of, one will be starting from scratch. No keepers, but a full draft. Abandoned teams will be up for grabs to new players.

14 team league....this may change depending on returning owners/new owners.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANYWAY.

Everyone, get back in this shyt!

Keeper Rules
Up to 5 players can be kept
Players can be kept for a maximum of 3 consecutive seasons; only resets if redrafted
Players are kept in the round they were originally drafted.
- If you don't have a pick in the round required, you will lost the pick in the next EARLIEST round in which you have an available pick. Same for keeping multiple players in the same round. Keeping 2 players taken in the 1st Round requires you to have two first rounds picks. Keeping 2 players taken in the 4th Round requires you to have 2 4th round picks or a 4th + a 3rd or higher)
Players picked up on the waiver wire are 15th round keepers.
If a player is drafted and then released during the season, his keeper value will remain in the original draft round.

I will double check this over the next week, but I believe this is the list of players who CANNOT be kept.

Matt Kemp
Cole Hamels
Jeremy Hellickson
Starlin Castro
James Shields
Craig Kimbrel
Brett Lawrie
Adam Wainwright
Alex Gordon
Ian Kennedy
Dustin Ackley
Asdrubal Cabrera
Stephen Strasburg
Bryce Harper
Eric Hosmer
Julio Teheran
Desmond Jennings

If you need to know a player's keeper value you can either ask me via PM or check yourself. To check yourself, just look at draft results from 2013. If they weren't a keeper last year, then they can be kept wherever they were drafted last season. If they were a keeper last year, then they are kept in the round the were drafted in in 2012.

The rule changes to pick trading makes some of this confusing. For example, if you look at Justin Upton, it shows him as being kept in the 7th round in 2013...but he was drafted in the FIRST round in 2012 and was only slid down because the owner didn't have a pick in the first six rounds. If kept this year, he will cost a FIRST ROUND pick. There are several players who will fall into this category, so please, double check when finalizing keepers. If you have questions....ask.

LETS fukkING GET IT.

Can we get the rules added to the first post, because Yahoo is getting worse and worse to navigate and I can't see 'em on there anywhere.

what are the categories?

It's 6x6

Standard categories + OBP and Quality Starts.

I think we should stick with Wins, but if we were to get rid of it, we'd need to replace it with something.

I'll put a long list of our rules in the first post tomorrow.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
This is the goat fantasy league for any sport I've been in

There's money involved so everybody active, and there's all kinds of great strategies for teams considering the keeper players and ability to trade draft picks.

I'm just mad that the year I'm going all in to win is the year yahoo decides to add every single prospect
