Coli, Contacting potential employer's via social media good idea???

I've applied for a couple positions and started following some of the individuals that work at those places. I kinda want dialogue wit them to see where I stand in the hiring process. I don't know if it's a good idea or not though. Anybody ever do something like this?

I plan on, one day, literally STALKING an employer.

Kind of on some "accident" type shyt. Following them around, learning their schedule, so that we'd bump into each other often and become good friends.

After a while of being friends with him, I'd MAKE him ask me for a position at his job. Social engineering.
