Have your folks, friends or other family members ever tried to hook you up with someone? I'm talking anything from blind dates to arranged marriages.

If so, did they tell you about this person or did they just spring them on you?

Did you go along with it or did you rebel?

Would you go along with it if you thought that there was a possibility that you were being manipulated? Example: your family don't like the girl you're currently talking to so they try to bring another one into the picture to get rid of the current one lmao!!

Have you ever been mismatched?

Have you ever had a perfect match?

Do your friends and family even know what you like?

Recently, 2 of my coworkers:

#1 white girl, married. Wanted to hook me up with her husbands friend. I said hell no, because he just got out of jail. When I say he'd just gotten out of jail, it was like days after he got out. But also, he's friends with my coworker's husband knowing that he has referred to black people as n!@@3rs (hard R) How can you as a black man be beasties with someone that's called some black men n!@@3rs? But she told me the other days that he's "on the run" because he had a dirty urine (they've been popping mollies) and his parole officer is looking for him.

#2 black woman, Jehovah's Witness. She's been telling me about her son for a while. Wanting to hook us up, because he "needs someone like" me (aka someone that has their shyt together, so he can get his together). He is not a jehovas witness, he doesn't have kids, and he's a basketball player. I was with it because he's cute. BUT, he probably isn't single (there's a girl on his fb making kissy faces), and she hasn't said anything to him yet. :Adele_nah:
