Cokeboy just flew AJ Styles across continents to put him in a PPV match with no build

It reminds me of Punk's "I'll owe you one, pal" stories from the Colt Cabana podcast & how they got Punk to return months early to fight Jericho at a random ass ppv.

Think about it. AJ Styles was a guy who was called a vanilla midget throughout his career, but now he's undoubtedly one of Vince's guys for pulling this off AND having the match be 4.5+ stars on top of it. They could've easily just plugged Jason Jordan, Elias, Karl Anderson or Goldust into that match and have it make sense.

He's everything Vince hates - a pre-established star that's short and southern, but I think tonight proved AJ has cemented his spot as a made man in Cokeboy's eyes

You could argue he's been one of Vince's aces since the he basically anchored SmackDown and made Shane look great at Wrestlemania

It was a great match, and it gives them an excuse to build for a feud down the line.

Hell, if they want, they can get this going for Survivor Series. Have Styles tell Daniel he wants to run that shyt back. Either they can do another one-on-one with regular Finn vs Styles where Styles goes over to set up a blow off later, or you can have each of them head up their brand's SS match team.
