Cody Rhodes really deserved a push. If not the WWE title, he should have gotten the IC title again. I remember when he debuted that new belt. I thought he was going to give that belt prestige.

I don't give a fukk how high or low on the card a guy is, show them the general respect of hearing them out. Even if you feel they're pitching you some bullshyt. That's just unprofessional

Vince is going to be pissed...not necessarily at Cody...but at the jack ass writers who drove a Rhodes out of the business because they didn't listen to his ideas. I think even if Vince sees him as a D player, the embarrassment of a Rhodes walking out on him will make him flip a hypocritical switch and blame his yes men for his latest embarrassment.

the WWE today in many ways seems hell bent on distancing themselves from what made them a success in the first place .... professional wrestling.

they are slowly, but steadily weeding out all of the guys who consider themselves pro wrestlers. all of their stupid, cult-like lingo (Superstars instead of wrestlers, calling the fans a Universe, etc.) is cringe worthy. hell, in this day and age you don't even have to be a good wrestler or have knowledge of the business in order to be successful there. if you have the right look and are willing to sign over your life to WWE, they can transform you into a NXT robot within a couple of years.
