comedy-drama film that follows a hearing teenage girl who is a child of deaf adults (CODA for short). Written and directed by Sian Heder, the film stars Emilia Jones as the hearing girl, with Marlee Matlin and Troy Kotsur as her culturally deaf parents and Daniel Durant as her deaf brother. Eugenio Derbez and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo also star in the film.

Watching it now with my wife and she’s :mjcry:
I’m :birdman: on the outside but :mjcry: on the inside as well. Definitely a tear jerker but it’s also a lot funnier than I expected. Very well told story, great performances and I like that it avoided a lot of the cliches you normally see in movies about people with disabilities. Definitely give it a watch when you get the chance.

I needed a palette cleanser after watching a bunch of horror stuff back to back and put Coda on...it had my allergies acting up.
