The Democrats at the very best are centrist and at the very worst right of center. So if the Progressives are actually forcing the Democrats to actually be in the Left (and not left relative to the GOP), then the Progressives are doing us a major favor. Also, the irony of that question is quite entertaining.

It's time to go left and not right
Gotta get it together forever
Gotta get it together for brothers
Gotta get it together for sisters
For mothers and fathers and dead nikkas
For non-conformers, won't hear the quitters
For Tyson types and Che figures
Let's get it together, come on, let's make it
Gotta make it to make it to make it to make it
To make something happen, to make something happen
To make something happen, let's make something happen

THey're paid not to be "far left"

Makes no damn sense. If the GOP is far-right and extreme, and the Corporate Dems are center right. The middle between them is full-on Republican.

We need a far-left movement to return to normalcy and get back on track. It was way too late for establishment Politics before trump got elected. It's damn far too late now

Too far?!

:mjlol:

They haven’t gone nearly far enough. @FAH1223 posted a tweet in the Cetrist Democrats thread showing that most Americans support a progressive agenda. There’s majority support for Medicare for all, universal childcare, and free public college tuition. The blueprint is right there.
But centrists keep getting elected.

Personally, I think the noise isn't matching the signal.

The "majority" may want that, but that same "majority" is represented by a smaller number of elected officials. What I mean is that, centrists get elected because their districts are so competitive to even elect a democrat. The loud voices seem to be centered in places and not spread out across the electorate.
