For those that don’t know MAU= Monthly Active Users, Microsoft claimed they had 120m last month and now they’re claiming they don’t even have half that behind the scenes to regulators.

This is just xbox vs playstation consoles.

When PC and other platforms are added in that’s where microsoft gets their 120m number from.

Both have downplayed their success to regulators. Sony whole argument is based on calling their own business plans weak and reliant an a single game for success.

The court is concerned with the console business and specifically how Sony would be harmed by the merger.

How many users Xbox has on other non competeing markets doesn’t really matter.

His thread was factually correct Xbox does have double the MAU. It’s just that lots of them are not on xbox series consoles.

It’s been their stated goal to gain users regardless of platform, so that number is impressive and kinda proof of concept of their current strategy.
