Ive seen the same thing happen in a Takeshi Kitano movie. Some salaryman was too drunk and them young kids took him to their office and walked him back to an ATM.

I swear Ive been meaning to visit, Ive got a half Japanese uncle who can give some tips. I just need to save like a motherfukker this year. If I cant hike Mt. Fuji in the foreseeable future then I'll settle for the Appalachian Trail.

Ive got my whole right arm covered and some random tattoos on my left arm. I doubt I'd be let into some of the places I would like to visit since the right arm has Japanese styled tattoos (Hannya mask).

In places like Shinjuku, not at all. There's 外人 everywhere, they've seen nikkas before. I'm staying a little further out west of Tokyo, and yeah some people look but it's not really a big deal
