if you search your state controller office website you can enter your name and if there are any property or wages or anything that is owed to you it will be listed there, then you can file the claim to receive it. It’s free 
I’ve done this in the past and received a few hundred dollars in total, it’s your money so why not get it

I suggest trying with all three, then without your middle initial and then try with just your last name and see what comes up because I had some money owed that wasn’t under my middle but I recognized that I did work for this employer and claimed the money.
