Circumcision in 2012?

Just had my first son a few days ago and my mother in law was basically appalled that we didn't have him circumcised. Mind you, we're Latinos from South America. I'm like .

I thought it was pretty obvious that circumcision was nothing more than penile mutilation with no concrete evidence on its' so called hygienic benefits? Not sure I'm convinced about lower HIV rates either. I read somewhere a long time ago that it started as means to prevent men from masturbating. What's the consensus from the higher learning brethren???

Leave the kid's dikk alone. If the kid wants to be circumcised one day, then that's his choice. It shouldn't be anybody's choice to make except for the kid.

Medically its much cleaner to be circumcised. However, if you are diligent in pulling back the hood and cleaning your shyt cheers to ya. If you dont, that shyt gets nasty.

Just think about it logically for 5 seconds............its slicing off a crucial part of your dikk that protects the bare flesh underneath.........evolution has designed it perfectly and people still want to cut it off in a bloody mess because it's a tradition

If it wasn't supposed to be there, boys wouldn't be born with them. As long as the kid is taught how to be clean, then it shouldn't smell.

I wouldn't do that to my sons.
