This is targeted mostly toward Evangelical Christians but I found it very informative nonetheless

TLDR: Whether you're Pro-Life or Pro-Choice, choosing a president solely based on them either being Pro-Life or Pro-Choice is pointless.

Some of the major points that were made:

Both Republicans and Democrats hype up the importance of Roe v. Wade to fire up their base but it has little impact on the number of abortions

The notion that abortions are a more modern thing and there were far less in America before Roe v. Wade is false

Abortion was legal in 1776 and widespread in the 19th Century.

Around 800,000 abortions every year were performed in the 1930s, about the same number as today

In 1972, there were nearly 600,000 legal abortions in the US, not counting the unreported ones.

Roe v. Wade hasn't been overturned even though Republicans have held a majority on the Supreme Court for 49 of the last 50 years

Most Pro-Life judges follow "stare decisis" which means the court should abide by their previous rulings

Roe decision in 1973 didn't legalize abortion and reversing it would at the most reduce abortions by 12%.

Local and state policies improving access to healthcare for everyone are far more effective in reducing abortions. Used Texas (28% reduction between 2011 and 2014) and Delaware (37% reduction between 2014-2017) as examples.

Abortion rate is actually lower than before Roe v. Wade and it's dropped under every President, regardless of them being Republican, Democrat, Pro-Life or Pro-Choice

Argues that the President, their Supreme Court nominations and their platforms don't impact the number of abortions

Abortion rate dropped the most under Obama even though he was Pro-Choice

Planned Parenthood broke a record for taxpayer funding under Trump even though he's Pro-Life

Says the real reason for the decline in abortions are:

Fewer women having unplanned pregnancies

Less teenagers having sex

More women have access to healthcare and contraceptives

New state restrictions on late-term abortions

Adoption is more affordable
