He just did Money Talks earlier that year and then ended the year with this :wow:

It was here when I said...

dude is going to be as big as Eddie Murphy.

Then he did the Rush Hour film.....while I thought it was good....was afraid it was going to get him off the "edgy path" and it did..

We havent seen THIS Chris Tucker since Jackie Brown. I get growing up, being mature and not wanting to do edgy roles. I get it.

But here and in Dead Presidents I thought Chris showed himself well being "serious, but funny at the same time"

We all know about the classic Friday performance.

But sometimes when I see this scene.... its like the classic Chris Tucker was gone for good...and he was..

SN: Too bad we never got a prequel of Ordell and Beaumont :russ:

Chris Tucker was a younger, more energetic version of Redd Fox...an edgy comic with political overtones and a sharp wit...dude really could've revolutionized black r-rated comedy, but those bullshyt rush hour checks conquered him...the rest is history and all we have are his stand ups and movies from 1993-1997

On the low I thought his character on Silver Linings Playbook was hilarious. Really subtle, but great. Like the mom was really charmed by him.
