Yeah it's not the most user friendly, but here's a tip.
Open the file and just put a warp marker on every point where'd you put a new chop. Then right click and there's an option there to send your slices out to an instrument rack. Then it'll put every slice on it's own pad for you to play with.
I hate it too tho, I do all chopping in maschine. Matter fact I think I'm about to sell ableton if I can.
If Maschine would change there scene bullshyt, Id go back to it. I can't stand it.
Lol I feel you, I left maschine for a whole because of that but ended up coming back to it because the shyt I like about it (work flow speed putting ideas down, hardware feel w/ pads and turning knobs) outweighed the scenes. I ended up just figuring a way to work with scenes. Both beats I got in the current battles I did completely in maschine, composed, mixed and arranged then exported right out and up to soundcloud.

Hardware all day
Could never rap my head around Ableton. I respect there hustle though, they bundle there shyt with everything.
I'm still itching to get a mpc 2500 but idk.
If you thought scenes were a workflow killer, wait til you have to deal with tracking out beat and loading up sounds, etc
