Yeah Rudy's character evolved when she got older. They didn't use her for the cute one liners but she had some pretty good episodes with Bud, Stanley, staying up late, and stuff like that.

it's not about cute, it's about the way their "dumb" or "too grown for a kid" act didn't translate to them being older therefore they sucked as a character. neither jake, luke, nor manny were supposed to be cute kids, but it was more a combination of personality traits that were funny because they were like 10 years old. shyt, lilly is still a kid and sucks, she was when she was 4/5/6, at 10 it's

I swear the baby Joe is the funniest kid on the show now, and he gets maybe a line every 3 eps.

The rest of them are garbage, except maybe Hailey.

I just think that maybe kid actors aren't really actors, and once they hit a certain age, their skill is gone and they should just move on.
