Anybody have/had any childhood friends whose life direction, progression, and choices disappointed you as they got older?
I remember having a school buddy named TJ, he was my closest dudes during the latter years of grade school 7th & 8th grade. Our school was inside the boundary of a huge Black P. Stone hood. He was a funny dude who everybody liked because he could tell jokes. He wasn't a tough kid, didn't claim Stone like most of the kids at our school did. Few kids made it out our elementary school without joining BPS. He was "regular" a neutron. I even remember him getting chased home and getting his azz lumped up and whooped by one of the Stones. We laughed at him at school that whole week. He was a regular kid.
So me and TJ graduate, we go separate ways during high school, later on I see TJ and now he's gangbanging, claiming BPS, scribbling on walls, getting chased off city buses by Gangster Disciples, and doing all types of stuff. It disappointed me how he turned out.
