Chief Keef has delayed his A Lil Tour trek due to a “medical emergency,” announcing the postponement on the day of the tour’s first show.
On Tuesday (July 16), the Chicago rapper was scheduled to perform at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway. But hours beforehand, Live Nation issued a statement from Keef announcing that not only that show, but the whole 17-date tour would be pushed back.
The statement read: “To my fans, I’m so sorry to announce this, but due to a medical emergency, I’ve been ordered to stay home to recover, so I have to postpone the tour. Those who bought tickets can opt for a refund or keep it for a future date. I intend to be back on the road soon. Thank you, I love y’all.”
On Wednesday (July 17), the “Faneto” rapper followed up by posting a similar message on his Instagram Story.
“[F]or health reasons I’m postponing the tour until later this year,” it read. “Be on the road real soon!”
