Cheap decent bluetooth controller for Dead Cells and retro games?

any recommendations? I play Dead Cells on my chromebook with mouse and key board. It's fun as fuk but it is awkward as fuk to play. I'ma install some emulators as soon as I get a decent controller. Trying to spend like $30. Any suggestions?

I copped an xbox cotroller and it's connected to my chromebook but I have no idea how to switch the input from keyboard/mouse to bluetooth controller in Deadcells. I see no options and cant find anything online. Any ideas? It's the android version of dead cells.
