I have such a hard time co-signing Charlamagne. Some of the dumb shyt that comes out of his mouth negates a lot of his good points. I listened to his Champs episode a few months ago and I was pretty mad at his simplistic views on black people.

If a white director or writer was constantly making films that portrayed black men (and usually dark skinned black men, at that) as deceptive, abusive, angry, and secretly closeted....people would be very upset to put it lightly. Every time I see his work it boils down to some dark skinned professional dude treating his lady like shyt. Then she meets a godly light skinned plumber or some shyt and falls in love. Basically like that Boondocks skit.

OR he'll do a film where you have a professional smart black woman who "doesn't have time" for religion, then something horrible happens to her, she blames it on herself, and some some old person appears to tell her "Jesus loves you." shyt is pathetic.
