Challenge: Post a difficult/harder variation of an exercise and how many reps you can do of it

I am coining this variation as the "pause" pullup :dame:. Got the idea from Zottman curls



pull yourself to arms perpendicular and pause for 1 second, then finish the pull up to chin over bar

then let yourself down back to the middle position for one second then release back to bottom of the pullup

currently able to do 4 reps :mjcry:. Having to finish the pullup with only arms and no momentum:wow:

will check back in a month with my new max reps :mjgrin:

Cable crossovers can do 100+ reps if I wanted

Don’t see too many people doing em at the gym but I do em religiously

real talk its more difficult because your center of weight changes

basically you'll feel them joints in a different part of the back

ive known folks that do all manner of types of pullups all in one sitting with no rhyme or reason like a kid at the jungle gym :jawalrus: they all had swole backs as adolescents/teens :damn: dodgeball with a kid who does pullups at 10 years old
