Chad Johnson will not serve any jail time for headbutting his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, during an argument last month.
According to TMZ, the former NFL wide receiver struck a deal with Broward County prosecutors for probation and "extensive anger management counseling" in exchange for a plea of guilty or no contest.
Johnson was arrested Aug. 11 after an argument with his then-wife Lozada. The fight started after Lozada found a condom receipt in the trunk of Johnson's car. When the couple returned home, the fight escalated and Johnson was accused of head-butting his newlywed wife.
He was arrested and charged with simple battery, domestic violence, which is a misdemeanor.
Lozada later filed for divorce. The split became official Wednesday.
