And they only won 17 consecutive series. As dominant as they were at the time there's no way they could have won 32 consecutive 7 games series which is what it would take today. At the beginning of any league there is always a dominant team or teams because the depth just isn't there. We haven't had an 8peat or anything close to it recently (and never will again) not because the Celtics were so good but because you gotta do way more against better comp with fewer advantages today.
