I’m stopped now, but it’s currently rainy where I’ve been driving. I just drive slower and let the people in a rush go around me. I usually put enough distance in between myself and the traffic in front of me to have enough time to react to hazards.

For example, yesterday I had a tire blow out. I had enough space to slow down, get off the road and make a call to get it repaired. Had I been up someone’s ass or driving in a way that encouraged someone else to follow me closely, I may have been dealing with an accident and a blown tire.

I’ve driven through snow on the East Coast and in the Midwest, with a stick shift pulling heavy loads. I just watch my speed, especially down hills (where a lot of drivers like to fly by) and pay attention to my surroundings. The only time I’m afraid is when I’m tired. And when I’m tired, I get off the road.

You're always on the defensive and know what others will do before they do it. The company I work for requires every driver to be Smith certified which is basically a defensive course with road and classroom training.

To your question I drive slower in the rain especially going into curves and I don't drive in ice. I work for an LTL company so if the weather is really bad we all don't come into work that day.

Real talk I got stuck on 495 for 3 hours coming back from Dulles airport to Baltimore smh

I used to have to sit in that damn highway every day after work for 1.5 hours to get home.
One day I broke down crying out of pure rage and frustration and cried out to God that I couldnt take it anymore.
I wanted to just floor my car and ram through all the a$$holes sitting in front of me talking on their phones stuck in traffic.
I, literally, wanted to murk every motherfukker in my way.
Wound up putting the car in park and breaking down...
