Car heads: Are body kits worth it?

Dude I work with has a 370Z with the LibertyWalk bodykit

This in white pretty much.

Down the road (2-3 years, stacking up rn) was prolly gonna pick up a nice little 2 door (A Lexus RC 350/RCF or a 350Z), and was wondering outside of aesthetics, if a bodykit was worth it or not.

No it isn’t. Not unless you’re building a show car that will barely ever see the street. Otherwise, it’s not really worth it.

Mods are almost never worth it if you're eyeing resale value of the car. Nobody cares you put 30 grand into a car worth 7 grand. If you're trying to recoup that money, go back to stock and sell the mods individually. If you aren't worried about that then you have to determine if it's worth it for you.

Waste of money. Of course it's my opinion, I never found the appeal for body kits. My friend has an FRS an is installing a wide kit on it and it really makes no sense... why???

So i deal with engine modifications, suspension, transmissions, differentials, braking and etc..

But some people like appearances..

OP, whats important to you when modifying a car?

Me personally I want to buy a camero and get a Trans Am kit on it. But then I probably won't resale it cause only a few people would even want the car. So basically I am dumping 50k to 90k on a car that won't ever be sold. So its a big decision to make if you want to dump all that into a car.

I had a kitted out 98 maxima back in the day. Different engine dropped in.

I got a few compliments, but no one really cares. If you like it, do it. Other than that, there's no value in that shyt. AND if you live in the city, I guarantee that you will fukk the car up with a year.
