The MT framework “game engine” is made by capcom. They would have to put money into upgrading it for current gen machines.

I know, but the articles seem to imply that's it's something they need microsoft support to resolve, which apparently they're still working on.

Only these old ports are left out cause they are basically running on an emulator engine.

simply put, the emulator has not been upgraded for next gen systems.

It works on PS4 therefore the games come to PS5

Capcom would have to put in extra work for native next gen versions of these games.

Seems they are doing it now with the help of microsoft.

It was never upgraded for xbox one therefore it doesn’t work on series consoles.

If that's all it is then what's the problem? Why haven't they cut the check? Microsoft has all the money, this shouldn't even be an issue. Seems like this has been an issue since last generation, why is Microsoft only recently talking about working with capcom to get these games ported?

Apparently they are doing it. I’m sure the team at capcom that works on these ports is very small.

I fully believe either CVS3 or Marvel 4 is being cooked up behind the scenes. No way they going this hard and don't have their own modern vs title cooking up. Especially with 2xko releasing soon as well.
