Canada folk, please break down for me how to get a phone over there

I googled, but there's alot of links out there. I don't got time to get it before I go, and my phone here in the US is not a world phone. Please break down for me, or provide the best link for me to get a phone in your country. I'll be in town for like 2 weeks and I'll visit Toronto and Montreal. Thanks.

Get a cheap Petro or PC Mobile phone. Their phones cost around $50 and come with some free time (not too sure about that)

Check the website. You can get like 30 min talk time and unlimited texts for a month for $20.
