Your first mistake is thinking of time as something that exists linearly.

You don't hear one sound at a time.
You don't see one color at a time.
Why would time not be any different?

You are existing in the past, present, and future all at once. You cannot see it because you're too up close. Our perception as it relates to time is the equivalent of someone whose vision is so blurry that he perceives a painting like the mona lisa as just a brownish greenish black blob. It kind of looks like an olive.

But then when that same person is given the right kind of Eyewear, he sees the whole picture.

Does that make sense
