Can Someone Explain How They Sampled this "TLC" Beat?

This is hands down no questions asked my favorite beat (maybe song) ever



So when I heard Bow Wow sampled it for his summer time song like 3 years ago, i was like why u messin with classics?



but now i ask you the gurus of beatmaking in detailed description, How exactly did the producers sample the TLC beat and create Bow Wow's song? im know very little about sampling so dumb it down for me

To answer your question, I think JD (if he produced Bow Wow's joint) chopped up the first 25 seconds of the sample and added a couple of extra instruments.

also, can u break it down more? like he chopped the 25 seconds with the instrumental version? and not to sound stupid but do you mean he chopped up the sample in small pieces and just put them in the layout or he just cut one big 25 second chunk? and added to the big chunk?

I now have independent drums(kicks and snare) and i can manipulate the sound as much i want too. i didn't go that far. All i did was chop it and play it around. You can change the octave of each sample, note, tempo (etc). Hope that makes sense.

Alot of people still doubt me when i say Just Blaze sampled "Hovi Baby" from TLC. Maybe cuz they didn't listen to the live version. All 3 of them looking sexy AF on stage!! I was in middle school when they premiered that video, i remember sneaking into the living hoping that BET after hours will play that vid . Chili RIP LEFT EYE!
