What are you guys views on this? Out of the current crop of players and you can even toss in next year draft as well with cooper flagg, do you see anyone that has the potential to break steph 3 point record or lebron all time scoring record? I dont see the case for either being broken by this current crop but the 3 pointer is more of a possibility, you would have to play 20 years and avg 25ppg with tons of games, to even come close to scoring record. thoughts?

No to both. Neither person that will break them is in the league now let alone a prospect. Hell their probably infants.

Your poll options don't provide options for all scenarios?

Where's:

No to Steph
Yes to Bron
No to both?

Anyway, the answer is no to both

No players strike me as having the scoring longevity and volume shot making that Bron and Steph possess

Of this current crop of current players, it’s gotta Luka but I think even he is behind Bron’s scoring base due to injuries.

The answer should have been KD, but injuries prevented that as well.

No, not right now.

However, the player who breaks one most likely breaks the other.

They’d basically have to come into the league shooting like Steph, with handles and be a match-up problem.

Luka had potential but his passing kind of takes away from his scoring. That guy will shatter the triple double record though.

Buddy from the Kings Keegan Murray could potentially/possibly reach that 3 Point record if always has a green light.

No to both

It took 30+ years to break Kareem record and Bron is still playing and adding points to now his record.

The way today's game is played you have a lot of franchise players sitting out games or playing some limited minutes. Even with inflated scoring numbers it's still a very tough record to beat.

You'd need to play 20years straight averaging 27 points and not missing games to catch up with Bron record. Good luck with that.

No to Bron. Its not because of Genetics and Performance, that's actually possible to reoccur again in another player. The real issue is how the paradigm has changed.

As long as kids must be 19+ coming out of college/other leagues it's not possible. To score more than Bron You have to be great at 18 and in the league. In thew new paradigm many kids are willing to stay in college because of NIL deals

AAU makes it even more difficult with kids having 4x more game miles on them coming into the league. No matter how good therapy and recovery get that is going to break the body down faster.

Even tho this is a higher scoring era, Bron's still playing in it at the speed of the game

Bron's record is probably never going to be broken. Bro averaged like 25 last season at 39 and still is going to play for at least this next season.

Did this question come up on a job application questionnaire?

Cuz if you have time to think about this, you have time to go get a job
