Hold up before y'all 1star and neg me to death. Any halfway knowledgeable fan can spot a bad FA signing or bad trade a mile away. I think any one of us would have done a better job than Billy King on the nets. I know the Russian wanted him to win now but damn.
Recent examples.
Billy King trading 1s round picks for old ass players.
Danny Ainge having all them picks and assets and still can't build a team that can challenge the Cavs.
The Crabbe contract and the Meyers Leonard contract.
The Deng and Mozgov contracts.
The Noah contract.
The Hawks not trading their players before they walk away for basically nothing smh.
The Mahimi contract .
Orlando assembling a team that everybody and they mama knew didn't fit together last summer.
Doc Rivers refusing to get a decent wing player or invest in some young players.
The Tristan Thompson contract and the signing of Jose Calderon. Drafting Anthony Bennett.
The pistons fukking up the little cap room they had by signing Langston Galloway when he is just an average backup point guard.
New Orleans signing Jrue Holiday to a big ass contract when they could've had George Hill or Teague for way cheaper. Ain't too much difference between the 3.
All of them are just some recent examples. When a bad deal happen it's a general consensus that they are bad deals. So why do NBA GM still do obviously dumb shyt? Is being a treadmill team that lucrative in today's age. I know a lot of shyt comes with being a GM but still. So could a Coli poster do better than some GMs from a free-agent signing, trade , and drafting perspective?
