Fans of the 2002 cult classic Paid in Full can start getting excited. During an Instagram Live interview with Pandora’s J1, Cam’ron revealed there are current “conversations” about a potential sequel to the JAY-Z and Damon Dash-produced hit.
“These are conversations that we talked about in the last few months,” Cam’ron said during the Live on Monday (May 11). “Actually, a couple hours ago, something we talked about [was] pertaining [to] Paid in Full 2.”
“I don’t wanna say 100 percent yes, but we’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1,” he continued. “It’s definitely a conversation going on right now about that, 100 percent. This is the first time I’m giving you a possibility of ‘Yes.’”

Killa Cam mentioned that he’s been asked about a potential Paid in Full sequel in many interviews over the years, but this was the first time he was able to give a definitive answer about the possibility.
He also added that the reason talks about Paid in Full 2 have officially begun is because one of his friends is now in charge of Dimension Films, which aired the original movie. The company used to be a subsidiary of Miramax, which was operated by the now-incarcerated Harvey Weinstein, along with his brother, Bob.

The original Paid in Full was directed by Charles Stone III and starred Cam’ron as Rico, alongside Mekhi Phifer and Wood Harris. Besides JAY-Z and Dash, the hip hop film staple was also overseen by producers Brett Ratner, Azie Faison and Steve Rifkind.
Besides Paid in Full, the Dipset rapper’s acting career has also included 2002’s Paper Soldiers, Death of A Dynasty and State Property 2, among several others. In 2006, Cam’ron made his screenwriting and directorial debut with Killa Season, which was also accompanied that year by an album of the same name.
